I am interested in getting a dog. However I do not know much about the behaviors of some of the breeds. So honestly I want one who is sorta small. It would be nice if it didn’t need 24 hrs of attention. So maybe I am asking for suggestions.

I consider a golden to be a big dog, and a chuiwawa to be small. We live in an apartment but are VERY active people. We walk everywhere and run three times a day. We live ten minutes from Boston Commons and go there almost every afternoon.

There was a local dog breed 100+ years ago that was bred to only have an undercoat, so its fur could be used like wool. (Sheep didn’t exist here) The breed is long extinct, and I’m looking for other breeds with only an undercoat.
