How should I go about looking for different dog breeds?

I just moved into a 2 bedroom apt and would really like to get a dog. I like big dogs but the weight limit is 35lbs, I would like to get a dog about that size. I need to find a breed that will be ok in an apartment (lots of parks and such near by). Another major issue is that I need to find a dog that doesn’t shed much (pet allergies).
